LX Pantos Acquires Large-Scale Logistics Center in Poland,
Expanding Its European Footprint
- Part of a PPP project with an acquisition value of KRW 216 billion and a total floor area of 109,000㎡
- To serve as a strategic European logistics hub and a supply-chain forward base supporting Korean companies’ local expansion
- Positioned to support logistics demand for reconstruction in Ukraine once post-war rebuilding commences
LX Pantos (Global CEO: Lee Yong-ho) has acquired a large-scale logistics center in Poland in partnership with the Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND) and the PIS No. 2 Fund, a policy fund under Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. By securing large-scale infrastructure at a strategic node in the heart of Europe, LX Pantos will strengthen its operating platform in the European logistics market while supporting Korean companies with their localization efforts and supply-chain buildout across the region.
On February 11, 2026, LX Pantos announced that the consortium has jointly acquired a newly built logistics complex located in Katowice, southern Poland, with a transaction value of approximately KRW 216 billion. The investment is supported by financing from the Korea Ocean Business Corporation, securing a stable funding structure.
The Katowice Logistics Center is a newly built asset comprising five buildings and featuring a combined total floor area of 109,000㎡. The complex is being developed and brought into operation in phases, with full completion scheduled for the first half of 2026. Multiple global and local companies have already secured leases, establishing a solid base for future operations.
Katowice is widely viewed as a strategic logistics node in continental Europe, where the east-west corridor connecting Germany, Poland, and Ukraine intersects with the north-south corridor linking Northern and Southern Europe. With seamless connectivity across major highways, including the A4 and A1, as well as rail and airport infrastructure, the location offers optimal conditions for intermodal logistics operations.
Through the Katowice Logistics Center, LX Pantos plans to build an Eastern European logistics hub and expand services for key industry customers, notably in automotive parts, consumer goods, and home appliances. The facility will also serve as a scalable platform to meet rising logistics demand across Eastern Europe and adjacent markets. Given its proximity to Ukraine, LX Pantos expects the hub to function as a forward logistics base to support reconstruction-driven demand once large-scale rebuilding gains momentum.
Poland is one of the European Union’s key growth markets, supported by a sizeable workforce and a geographic advantage that links major European corridors, making it a critical pillar of Europe’s manufacturing supply chains. In particular, the Silesia region, where Katowice is located, has developed a manufacturing cluster centered on automobiles, electronics, machinery, and chemicals. Logistics demand is expanding accordingly, alongside continued investment by Korean companies, especially in electric vehicles, batteries, and automotive components.
“Securing the Katowice Logistics Center is strategically significant as it enables us to proactively establish a key node connecting logistics flows across Europe,” explained Lee Yong-ho, Global CEO of LX Pantos. “We will accelerate our expansion in the European logistics market while serving as a trusted partner supporting the growth of Korean companies across Europe.”
