Pantos holds a ceremony of completion
for Pantos Busan New Port Warehouse
On September 3, Pantos Logistics, the largest integrated logistics service company based in Korea held a ceremony of completion for its Busan New Port Warehouse at the hinterland of Busan New Port located in Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone.
Pantos Busan New Port Warehouse has a total site area of 27,000 sqm. The warehouse has 2 storey building for administration and 1 storey building for cargo storage. The total floor area of the building is 14,000 sqm. With the establishment of Pantos Busan New Port Warehouse, customers now become able to enjoy Multi-Tasking Warehouse service. The warehouse offers storage facilities with temperature and humidity chamber, rack, and container yard. It also provides stringent requirements for handling dangerous goods.
With the establishment of Pantos Busan New Port Warehouse as a start, the company aims to launch strategic logistics business such as Sea and Air transportation. The company established its company-owned warehouse near Incheon airport in 1995 to process air cargos. Also, instead of using it to store cargos only, the company will utilize the new warehouse to strengthen high value added logistics service such as assembly, labeling, repacking and delivery.
A company official said, “We process about 300,000 t of air cargos and 1,700,000 TEU of maritime cargos annually which is significantly large amount. The establishment of Pantos Busan New Port warehouse is a significant step for our business in that now we have our company owned warehouse in key transportation areas – Busan and Incheon.” He added,” With these facilities, we will be able to plan and manage efficient routes for cargo delivery by channeling cargos delivered to Korea from all over the world.” Pantos Logistics expects the establishment of new warehouse at Busan will optimize the company’s cost and service competitiveness in the industry.
The ceremony was attended by more than 150 guests including Kim Young Suk, administrator of Busan Regional Maritime Affairs and Port Office, government officials from the ministry of land, transport and maritime, Busan Port Authority, Busan Gyeongnam Main Customs House.
